My name is John Cave Osborne. I’m married to the beautiful and charming Lovie, and we live in our hometown of Knoxville, TN along with our nine-year-old daughter Pookie, and our BBG toddler triplets — Monster, Biggs, and Peanut. Oh, and Briggs. We live with Briggs, too. He’s our crazy-ass chocolate Lab whom we love dearly despite the fact that his shenanigans are likely taking years off of our lives.
If you’re here to find fluffy give aways or countless mundane stories about fatherhood, you’re outta luck. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a dad who blogs, so naturally, I’ll post about my brood from time to time. But I consider this blog to be the place where I keep my writing muscles in shape, so you’re just as likely to read a parenting post as you are to read a top ten list that details why, exactly, Tiger Woods should marry Kate Gosselin.
I started this blog to help spread the word about my recently released book, Tales from the Trips, which chronicles my life as I morphed from carefree bachelor into the father of four in just thirteen months thanks to marrying a single mom then quickly conceiving triplets. 30% of all proceeds go toward my favorite non-profit, ChildHelp.
In addition to writing, I love hiking, camping, watching SEC football (go Vols!), making home movies, cooking perfect steaks on the Big Green Egg, hanging with my buddies, and going to the beach. But most of all, I love spending time with my lovely wife and our four incredible children.
If you like what you see here, I hope you’ll recommend me to someone else.
